Hello! My name is Kalia and I am a dreamer. The name of this blog, A Dream Conferred (ADC), is inspired by a poem entitled “Harlem” written by Langston Hughes.  It explores what happens to dreams that die:

What happens to a dream deferred?

      Does it dry up

like a raisin in the sun?

      Or fester like a sore—

      And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat?

      Or crust and sugar over—

      like a syrupy sweet?

      Maybe it just sags

      like a heavy load.

      Or does it explode?

Although this is a beautifully written poem, I don’t want to dwell on dreams deferred. I want to explore dreams conferred– dreams granted to us by universal powers. ADC is part wellness, part lifestyle, and part how-to guide for dreamers. This blog is for those who are willing to believe.
